Insurance and Billing

Insurance & Payment Information

We accept most major commercial and marketplace insurance plans in Florida and Pennsylvania. Coverage may vary depending on your specific plan. Our billing team will verify your benefits before your first session. However, we strongly recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm your coverage and benefits.

Important Information

  • Not all insurance plan types are considered in-network.

  • We do not accept out-of-network benefits and do not provide superbills.

  • If you have Medicare, you cannot waive your insurance coverage to be seen.

  • We are not permitted to offer a private pay (cash pay) option for individuals who have Medicare/ Medicaid or who are covered by in-network insurance plans.

Sliding Scale Options

We offer a sliding scale based on income for clients who do not have insurance or whose plans are out-of-network.  We cannot offer sliding scale to medicare or medicaid clients due to federal restrictions. Please contact us directly for more information and to determine eligibility.

Medicare FAQ

Q: I don’t want Medicare involved in my mental health care. Can I just pay you directly and skip the paperwork?
A: Unfortunately, no. If you are a Medicare beneficiary and we are enrolled with Medicare, we are legally required to bill Medicare for all covered services. We are not allowed to accept private payment for these services, even at your request.

Q: What if I sign a waiver saying I don’t want to use Medicare?
A: A waiver does not override Medicare regulations. As a Medicare provider, we cannot accept private payment for covered services, even if you sign a statement requesting it. Only providers who have formally opted out of Medicare may enter private-pay agreements with Medicare beneficiaries.

Q: Can I pay out of pocket for services Medicare doesn’t cover?
A: Yes. If a service is clearly not covered by Medicare—such as couples therapy, life coaching, or certain evaluations—you may pay privately. We will always clarify whether a service is covered before moving forward.

Q: What does it mean to “opt out” of Medicare?
A: Providers who opt out of Medicare file a formal agreement with Medicare stating they will not bill the program for any services. They may then contract directly with Medicare beneficiaries for private payment. We have not opted out, so we are required to bill Medicare.

Q: What if I have a secondary or supplemental insurance?
A: We will still bill Medicare first, as required. Your secondary insurance may then cover some or all of the remaining balance, depending on your policy. If there is a copayment or deductible after insurance, you may be responsible for that portion.

Q: I’m unsure if my situation applies. Can someone help me understand my options?
A: Absolutely. Please contact us and we’ll be happy to review your circumstances and clarify what is and isn’t allowed under Medicare rules.
